Did you know?

The proposals will provide year round family fun

The current site is only fully utilised during the hottest summer days, leaving it underused during the rest of the year and in the evenings.  Seaway Leisure will provide a year round family destination for local residents and boost tourism outside of peak season. The scheme includes plenty of public parking for visitors to Seaway Leisure or Southend’s seafront.

Turnstone’s proposals will turbo charge the local economy

Turnstone’s £50 million investment would transform the area and deliver huge economic benefits for Southend. Over 90 construction workers will be needed during the building process, and once opened there will be around 500 new jobs for local residents. Every year Seaway Leisure will bring an additional £15 million in to the local economy.

The proposals will bring big names to Seaway

We’re delighted to say that Empire Cinemas with IMAX, Hollywood Bowl, Travelodge, and a number of well-known national restaurant chains are on board to be a part of a regenerated Seaway Leisure.

There will be plenty of car parking spaces

The proposals will include a substantial surface and multi storey public car park totalling 555 spaces. This will provide plenty of parking for Seaway Leisure and visitors to the nearby seafront.

Regeneration can HELP TACKLE anti-social behaviour

The Seaway car park has historically had issues with anti-social behaviour and our proposals to transform Seaway into a modern all year round leisure facility will transform the focus of activity in the area.
